Ellitáne was born in 2016 out of a very simple frustration. I always found it strange that a woman getting ready for the most important night of her life could stand in front of the mirror and still not feel sure about her dress.

I learned what a good dress is in Ukraine, by touching the fabric. A seam that is just as neat on the inside, a pattern shaped to the body, a piece that is never rushed. Those were the things I had in my hands when I founded Ellitáne.

Today we finish every collection with the same question: would I wear this? If the answer is hesitant, the piece doesn't make it into the collection.

Seeing photos of the women who wear our dresses is still the best part of the work for me.
